Mi-20a is a small non-coding RNA downregulated in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells during liver metastasis. Span-based nanoparticles loaded with miR-20a and decorated with chondroitin sulfate can introduce the missing miR-20a specifically in the liver sinusoidal endothelial cells blocking the angiogenic process.
